August 20th Remington got yet another friend. Koda is her name and she is an 8 week old boxer pup. My daughter HAD to get a puppy. All turned out well, although I thought it would be a big hassle with Bentley and Remington. Thought the jelousy might
take over and turn ugly. What I had feared did not happen fortunately. Remington and Bentley are very protective of the little pup and play good together. Another positive development. Remington is just so gentle. An amazing dog once again. Please click on the pics below (3) for some footage of their playing. Gets pretty rough sometimes. There is also an addition to the website with videos of the guys: You can find it here: http://remington-the-three-legged-collie.com/movie_clips
September 14 2008 - Paws for Cause Chilliwack.
We loaded all 3 dogs (Remington, Bentley and Koda) in my daughters Jimmy and off we went to F.G.Leary sportsfield.
Busy place and lots of the 4 legged kind. Amazinly not very much barking. It was great to meet Ivana from the Chilliwack
SPCA Animal Protection Branch again and a lot of people came over and said: "Is that Remington?". Most were former walkers
and volunteers from the SPCA who took so very good care of Remington. Remington himself was a bit apprehensive at first at seeing all the other dogs and was barking verry annoyingly so I kept him seperate a bit. Tried to mingle with the other dogs later on and Remington took a complete 180 degree turn in behavior. By the time we went for the walk he was no problem at all and enjoyed every minute of it. Mayor Clint Hames remembered Remington well and was verry happy with his improvement. As a matter of fact; all people who met Remington said he looked ver well. His coat, nice and curly, no signs of the shaving anymore.
Also a lot of people complimented me for adopting Remington and one lady even said I should get a medal. Well, I do not know
about that. I do know when I seen "Remmi" for the first time in the paper I knew I had to do something.
All in all a very nice part of the day and the weather was gorgeous. I have pictures posted in the album area.
Thanks to all who donated.
